Personal data provided or otherwise acquired through the use of the portal help.nios4.cloud will be processed in compliance with applicable laws and confidentiality obligations.

DATA SUBJECTS AND DATA RETENTION

A) Users (browsers) of the website https://help.nios4.cloud/

During navigation, the computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website may acquire certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols, such as IP addresses, domain names of the devices used, requested URI/URL addresses, time of request, size of the file obtained and other parameters related to the user’s operating system.

B) Users submitting support requests, tickets or information requests

By completing the forms available on the help.nios4.cloud portal (account registration, ticket opening, technical support requests or commercial information requests), the user’s personal data (such as email address, phone number and request content) will be processed in order to:

  • allow access to the reserved area;

  • manage and respond to support requests;

  • provide technical and operational support;

  • respond to commercial information requests related to Nios4 services.

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject).
Data will be retained for the time necessary to manage the request and, subsequently, in accordance with applicable legal requirements or until the user deletes the account.

METHODS OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Personal data are processed using manual, electronic and/or telematic means, in compliance with Articles 6 and 32 GDPR and through the adoption of appropriate security measures aimed at preventing unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of data.

The Data Controller uses communication systems with reporting features to manage and improve communications sent to users, including in order to monitor the effectiveness of responses provided and support services.

PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATION PURPOSES

The user’s personal data may be processed for promotional communication purposes only subject to the data subject’s prior consent.

In particular, the Data Controller may send informational and promotional communications relating to:

  • software updates and features of the Nios4 platform;

  • product and service news;

  • commercial initiatives, promotions and events organized by the Data Controller.

Such communications may be sent via email, SMS, instant messaging and other electronic communication tools.

The legal basis for processing for these purposes is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Providing data for promotional purposes is optional and failure to provide consent does not affect the use of the support services offered through the help.nios4.cloud portal.

Data will be retained until consent is withdrawn by the data subject.

RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA AND DISCLOSURE

Personal data may be processed by authorized personnel of the Data Controller and by third parties providing services functional to the purposes described above (such as cloud service providers and technical assistance providers), appointed as Data Processors where required pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Personal data will not be disclosed.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data are stored in countries within the European Union.
For data processed through cookies only, transfers to countries outside the EU may occur as described in the third parties’ Cookie Policy.
